As we celebrate Vicksburg’s 200th anniversary, we want to honor 200 individuals—groups or organizations—who made a lasting impression on our community over the past 200 years. We invite you to nominate those who significantly contributed to the growth, development, and spirit of our town. Whether through leadership, innovation, community service, or other impactful actions, help us recognize those who shaped Vicksburg’s legacy.

The committee is in the process of reviewing all submissions; please check back here for more information on who has been chosen to be honored. Criteria: 

• Nominees can be deceased or living

• Nominees do not have to have been born in Vicksburg

• Nominees must have significant contribution to Vicksburg:

• An action, effort, or achievement that has notable and positive impact.

• The action leads or has led to substantial improvement, advancement or benefit

• The action must have a lasting impact and influence
